The 23rd annual Scott Haug Hill Country Audiology Retreat, Pirate O’the Hill Country, will be September 27-30 at the T Bar M Ranch and Resort in New Braunfels, Texas.

Several speakers will make presentations at the event including David Fabry, PhD who will address the meaning behind the marketing terms hearing instrument manufacturers have been using. Also speaking will be Robert Sweetow, PhD, who will share ways to use “Listening and Auditory Communication Enhancement” training to improve patients’ auditory skills. Fabry and Sweetow will co-instruct open fitting technology.

Gyl Kasewurm, AuD, will present “The Secret to Thriving in an Audiology Practice,” and Cheryl DeConde Johnson, CCC-A, EdD will share ways to help young patients with “Yo Ho Ho: Developing an Effective Education Audiology Program.”
