Audina Hearing Instruments Inc, Longwood, Fla, introduces the Intuition 12 custom digital hearing instrument, incorporating nano chip technology with 24-bit precision for accurate audio signal processing with lower internal noise and distortion, says a statement released by the company.

Its patented system architecture optimally balances workload power consumption and processing efficiency, resulting in extended battery life, says the statement.

The new 12-channel instrument offers maximum power output control with eight independent compression channels and eight adjustable WDRC channels, providing greater fitting flexibility and helping to ensure improved customer satisfaction, says the statement.

The instrument features ultra-high fidelity audio—110dB dynamic range, and offers the company’s Softwave system to moderate loud incoming sounds and improve the listening experience while maintaining quality and intelligibility, says the statement.

The approach to adaptive feedback cancellation provides faster convergence speeds, allowing the instrument to adapt to changing feedback conditions up to six times faster than the Intuition 4+, says the statement. This, coupled with the state-of-the-art nano technology, offers excellent bandwidth to achieve more added stable gain in the low frequencies, providing an opportunity to fit a wider range of patients with severe hearing losses, according to the statement.

Adaptive directionality (AD) is standard when directional microphones are ordered on half- and full-shell styles. AD continuously monitors different listening environments and automatically adjusts to the ideal response with environmental changes, says the statement. All styles offer several standard features such as data logging, twelve gain band adjustment, an environmental recognition system, and more than 10 optional features.

Founded in 1990, Audina manufactures custom, over-the-ear, receiver-in-the-canal, and behind-the-ear hearing instruments. The company distributes products worldwide.
