CareerCast.com, an online career resource for finding targeted job opportunities by industry, function and location, has named “audiologist” as the #2 job on its list of “The Best Jobs of 2015.” Audiologist earned a Jobs Rated Score of 88 in its job rankings on CareerCast, which factors in considerations like travel time, growth potential, deadlines, competitiveness, physical demands, and environmental conditions, among others. The growth outlook score was listed as 33.33, and the annual income as $71,133.
CareerCast posted a slideshow of the “10 best jobs of 2015” that featured audiologist as #2. An article on the site positioned “actuary” (generally, a mathematician who calculates insurance premiums) as the #1 job on its “Best Jobs of 2015” list. The article highlighted healthcare or information technology jobs as other top career choices for 2015.
In characterizing the typical job conditions and anticipated career growth for an audiologist, CareerCast wrote: “an aging population and more access to preventive healthcare fuel an expected boom for hiring of audiologists. The field has one of the highest outlooks of all careers tracked in the 2015 Jobs Rated Report” adding that audiologists “provide an invaluable service that benefits young and old alike.”

In its web post about best jobs of the year, CareerCast also provided a search link for audiology jobs in the US.
