Otoharmonics—a Portland, Ore-based company that developed the Levo System for the management of tinnitus symptoms— continues to expand its sales leadership team with the hire of Joel Ellis, senior vice president of sales, the company announced. Fulfilling the latest step in Otoharmonics’ growth strategy, Ellis joins the team with over 20 years of experience in healthcare.

“With the Levo System’s reputation as the new gold standard in tinnitus care, it’s only fitting to bring an executive-level sales professional of Joel’s caliber,” said Michael Baker, president and CEO of Otoharmonics. “With Joel on board, the company is well positioned to broaden our reach within North America, UK, and the rest of the world.”

Ellis has over two decades of experience in the healthcare field as a sales manager and senior executive, including experience in the hearing healthcare field where he served as national sales manager and vice president of managed care for Beltone Electronics. Additionally, Ellis functioned as senior vice president of sales for American Hearing Aid Associates (AHAA), the forerunner for “buying groups” in the otolaryngology and audiology vertical.

“I’m excited to be a part of such a fabulous team,” said Ellis. “From day one at Otoharmonics I’ve been impressed with the willingness of people throughout the organization to support each other towards the common goal of bringing life-changing therapy to tinnitus patients.”

Utilizing an evidence-based approach, the Levo System is designed to provide personalized sound therapy while sleeping. According to Otoharmonics, a randomized study by the National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research team, led by James Henry, PhD at the VA Portland Health Care System, will soon be released, that demonstrates improved clinical outcomes for tinnitus patients using the Levo System.
