Redefining the Advanced Through Essential Categories: Unitron Hearing's Next

CHARLOTTE, NC — At the American Academy of Audiology's 2008 AudiologyNOW! Convention, Unitron Hearing announced the introduction of its new Next™ series comprised of four product lines: Next 16, Next 8, Next 4 and Next E, each with a unique set of purpose-driven features for client needs. Next is reportedly developed on the world’s most advanced digital sound processing platform, resulting in a better sounding hearing instrument. Each Next product line raises the bar for performance and features in the advanced through essential categories, with flagship technologies included across the series, according to the company.

Next is said to feature the world’s most advanced feedback management technology across all four product lines which detects and suppresses multiple feedback peaks faster, while maintaining superior sound. The feedback technology provides more useable gain, an expanded fitting range, more open styles, and larger venting for more natural sound. The advanced feedback technology means more custom product styles, including a new Power CIC and full-shell power directional.

Next 16 and Next 8 feature autoPro3™ and autoPro2™ respectively, which integrate independently fitted “sound destinations” into one seamless automatic function. Capable of fast, smooth transitions, autoPro allows fitters to customize the adaptive features and frequency response within each sound destination.

Next 16 reportedly incorporates the industry’s first Comfort-Clarity Balance addressing situational listening preferences for added precision compared to volume control alone. Comfort-Clarity Balance gives clients direct control over speech enhancement and noise reduction, and is situated directly on the Next hearing instrument or as an easy-to-use scroll wheel on the optional remote Smart Control. Smart Control is also optional with Next 8 and Next 4.

Featured in all Next products, antiShock™ is designed to eliminate the discomfort of sudden, impulse noises without affecting speech. Next 16, Next 8 and Next 4 also have level dependent speech enhancement technology, ideal for clients who interact in a wide variety of listening environments.

“Unitron Hearing continues to raise the industry’s standards in providing all clients with groundbreaking features like those found in the Next series—from the advanced to essential categories”, says Brian Kinnerk, president of Unitron Hearing US.  “Our superior feedback management technology, antiShock, and the many other standard features found in all of the Next products demonstrate our continued commitment to the success of hearing healthcare professionals and that of their clients.”

Unitron reports that, with Next, comes the industry’s most complete line of ultra-small BTEs with more coupling options including Moxi™ CRT, Moda II™ slim tube, and the new OptimumFit™, the industry’s first adjustable custom receiver CRT option providing maximum comfort. Next™ is supported by the latest version of U:fit™ delivering practical extras for in-clinic client counseling and support.

The Next series of products will be available in May 2008. For more information, click here.
