Research: Help Wanted

Subjects Wanted For Bilateral Implant Recipient Survey

It is important for hearing-impaired people worldwide to determine the precise benefit that can be received from using two cochlear implants. Therefore The University of Iowa is asking for assistance in collecting data from patients with one or two cochlear implants.

Participants must be 18 years or older, in order to answer an online survey created to collect information. It will take about 15 minutes to complete the survey. Names and identifying information will not be collected. It will not be possible to link you to your responses on the survey.

The survey can be accessed via the following Web site address: https://survey.uiowa.edu/wsb.dll/127/cochlearimplant.htm

Questions about the survey can be directed to Camille Dunn at camille-dunn@uiowa.edu or (319) 353-8776. If you have questions about the rights of research subjects, contact the Human Subjects Office, 300 College of Medicine Administration Building, The University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA 52242, (319) 335-6564, or e-mail irb@uiowa.edu.
