Tri-State 2002
The Thirtieth Annual Tri-State Hearing Convention will be held February 28-March 3, 2002, at the Jantzen Beach DoubleTree Hotel in Portland, OR. Twelve hours of continuing education will be offered, and approximately 40 exhibitors will showcase their products and services in the exhibit hall. Oklahoma Hearing Aid Association
The Oklahoma Hearing Aid Association is hosting its second annual Winter Audiology & Hearing Aid Conference, a two-day event convening on Friday, January 11, 2002. It will be held at the Oklahoma City Marriott Hotel. Highlights include a four-hour workshop, entitled Hair Cells and Hearing Aids, presented by Mead Killion, PhD, and a two-hour workshop by Jack Van Doren Hough, MD, president of the Hough Ear Institute, entitled The Role of Physicians, Audiologists, and Hearing Aid Specialists in Fitting Middle Ear Implants. Vestibular Workshop
The American Institute of Balance Education Foundation and Nova Southeastern Univ. will present Vestibular Disorders: Diagnosis, Treatment and Rehabilitation, a workshop to be held at the universitys campus in North Miami Beach, FL, on November 29-30, 2001. The two-day program will present a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approach to the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with vestibular and equilibrium disorders. The faculty of neurology, otology, physical therapy, and vestibular specialists will present the latest information and treatment methods for this patient population. Faculty will include Richard E. Gans, PhD, founder and executive director of the American Institute of Balance, and Stuart E.
