In this role, Chartrand will be responsible for maintaining all technical support for the company’s network. GN ReSound, Bloomington, Minn, has named Vern Lovstad director of human resources. In this role, Lovstand will be responsible for overseeing the company’s employment, staffing, employee relations, training, and development functions. He previously worked in human resources for Dayton Hudson and Carlson Companies, both Minneapolis-based. He has also taught and lectured at the University of Minnesota School of Management. In addition, the company has announced three new hirings in the outside sales department: Dave Patterson will serve as an outside sales representative for the Central California region; Jamie Barber will serve as an outside sales representative for Wisconsin and Michigan; and Paul Harkness has joined the company as outside sales representative for Minnesota, Nebraska, and Iowa.

Magnatone Corp, Casselberry, Fla, announces that Nancy Wong, AuD, has joined the company as a staff audiologist. She received her degree from the University of South Florida, and obtained her clinical experience in adult and pediatric audiological evaluation, vestibular diagnostics and treatment, hearing aid selection and fitting, and aural rehabilitation. Her current research focuses on evoked potentials, and she will be responsible for technical support of Magnatone’s customers, research, teaching of CEU classes, and writing articles. In addition, the company announces the following additions and promotions: John Duncan has joined the sales department as a business consultant, responsible for product and marketing training; Neil Frampton has joined Magnatone’s engineering department as a quality assurance manager, responsible for implementing and maintaining the company’s quality assurance programs as well as its ISO certification program; Rene Echevarria has been promoted to customer service supervisor; Rick Miller has joined Magnatone’s information technologies department as a programmer/analyst; Lysa Blakely has been hired as a receptionist; and Marisol Suarez has been promoted to the company’s customer service team.
