The Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) has appointed Maureen Ann Thompson, RN, COHN-S/CM, to its board of directors. Thompson will serve as a second representative for the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Currently responsible for an employee health unit supporting a 3200-person work force, Thompson has more than 25 years of experience in the occupational health arena. She holds numerous certificates, including a CAOHC certificate, and an American Board of Occupational Health Nurses certificate as an occupational health nurse specialist/case manager .
Earmold Design Inc EDI also announced that Gregory J. Frazer, AuD, PhD, joined the company as the director of audiology and education. Frazer was a clinical instructor at the University of California, Los Angeles, in the Department of Head & Neck Surgery at the Olive View Medical Center, Sylmar, Calif. He also served as an adjunct professor for the Kirksville College of Medicine/Arizona School for Health Sciences, Mesa, Ariz, Doctor of Audiology program. Frazer has owned and operated private practice businesses, including Hearing Care Associates, Northridge, Calif, Sonus-USA Inc, Northridge, Calif, and Pacific Hearing Inc, Brentwood, Calif.
GN ReSound In addition, GN ReSound has hired Shaun Erdmann as a regional sales manager covering Washington, Oregon, Northern Idaho, and Alaska. Erdmann will be responsible for helping customers grow their business, and for conducting demonstrations, coordinating customer training seminars, performing product in-servicing, and attending national trade shows. Unitron Hearing Ping-kay will be responsible for expanding the retail sales activities in China. Jiang, a professor of audiology, will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, networking and relationship management, customer training and education, and sales activities in southwest China. In addition, Unitron Hearing has opened operations in France and appointed Paul-Michel Vahanian as its general manager. Vahanians primary duty is to broaden Unitrons digital products through the introduction of new product offerings, and to increase Unitrons brand and presence across France. David Zullo Zullo was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, and resided there for many years before moving to the Martinsville section of Bridgewater, Mass, 4 years ago. Zullo was president and CEO of Audio Energy for the past 20 years. He was past president and chairman of the Institute for Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders. He remained very active and was the driving force in raising more than $10 million for the Institute. Zullo was a member and also served on the board of directors of the Ronald McDonald House in New Brunswick, NJ. He was a member of Hamilton Farm Golf Club and the Stanton Ridge Country Club. An avid golfer, he also had a love for gourmet cooking. He enjoyed skiing, water sports, and spending time on his boat. He cherished his family, especially his granddaughters. |
