Terry Ross has joined MedRx Inc, Largo, Fla, as vice president and director of hearing health care sales. Ross brings more than 20 years of sales and executive management experience to this position. He has managerial and senior management experience in sales, marketing, strategic planning, and training in the medical device and consumer product industries.

Some of Ross’ accomplishments include: being a keynote speaker at the 1989 Academy of Dispensing Audiologists convention in Phoenix, Ariz; negotiating the first contract with NASA for the development of custom battery packs for the space shuttle program and launching a new generation of power technology; developing strategic marketing plans for new technology and product entries into the hearing health care market for a number of major hearing care corporations; serving on the Market Development Committee for Hearing Industries Association, Washington, DC; and introducing a successful new generation of PC-based audiodiagnostic testing and measurement technology and office automation software.

Ross will report to MedRx President Ron Buck. MedRx provides diagnostic equipment and video imaging technology, including the OtoWizard and the Ultra Vac.

Claire Kilcoyne

Audiology Foundation of America
Claire Kilcoyne, AuD, and Lynn Lehman, AuD, were elected to serve on the board of directors of the Audiology Foundation of America (AFA).

Kilcoyne, who received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from St. Louis University in Missouri, graduated with her AuD degree from PCO, School of Audiology in 2004. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, and opened her own private practice, Audiology and Balance Center LLC in Denver, in 2004.

A former board member and secretary of the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists (ADA), Kilcoyne is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and the Colorado Academy of Audiology.

Lynn Lehman

Lehman is a graduate of Converse College and Purdue University. She received her AuD degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1998. She is currently employed at Audiology Associates in Spartanburg, SC.

The current president of the South Carolina Academy of Audiology, Lehman is also a member of AAA, ADA, and the Audiological Resource Association. She has previously served on the South Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology.

Both Kilcoyne and Lehman began their terms in January 2005. Members of the board of directors of the AFA make a major commitment to the profession by volunteering their time and talents, as well as their expenses to attend meetings.

Kelly Halligan, AuD, stepped down after several years of dedicated service to the AFA and the transition of audiology to a doctoral profession. She will continue to support the AuD movement as a member of the AFA’s Advisory Committee. Other new Advisory Committee members include: Dierdre Anderson, Brenda Berge, Cynthia Earle, Judith Horning, and Charles Stone, all of whom are doctors of audiology.

Paul Erikson

Amplifon USA
Amplifon USA Inc, Plymouth, Minn, announced promotions in its corporate headquarters. Paul Erikson has been promoted to senior vice president, responsible for all of Amplifon USA’s franchise/network operations. Erickson has been a major contributor to the hearing health care industry for more than 22 years, and has been an integral part of the Amplifon senior management team since 2002.

Brian Taylor

Brian Taylor, MA, has been promoted to senior manager of the professional development department for Amplifon USA. In addition to developing courses and other educational material for both corporate and noncorporate divisions, Taylor manages the daily operations of the professional development department.
