The Illinois Academy of Audiology's (ILAA) 16th-annual convention and exposition is scheduled to take place January 28 to 30, 2009, at the Drake Hotel in Chicago, and the organization has released the initial list of presenters, who will focus on amplification, auditory processing, tinnitus, vestibular studies, cochlear implants, pharmacology, pediatric diagnostics, educational audiology, real-world benefit, and coding.

The presenters include Michael Valente, Kris Erikson, James Hall, Todd Ricketts, Dawna Lewis, Gary Jacobson, Jill Firszt, Judith Widen, Sandy Gabbard, Cheryl DeConde Johnson, Robert DiSogra, Brian Taylor, Paul Pessis, and Debra Abel.

Forums will explore everyday practice issues, and panel discussions will explore ethics, balancing family and practice, women and leadership, pediatrics, and the future of audiology.
