The Illinois Academy of Audiology (ILAA), Elk Grove Village, Ill, plans to hold its 16th-annual convention and exposition on January 28 to 30, 2009, at the Drake Hotel, Chicago.

Presenters will spotlight topics such as amplification, auditory processing, tinnitus, vestibular studies, cochlear implants, pharmacology, pediatric diagnostics, educational audiology, real-world benefit, and coding.

The roster of scheduled presenters includes Michael Valente, Kris Erikson, James Hall, Todd Ricketts, Dawna Lewis, Gary Jacobson, Jill Firszt, Judith Widen, Sandy Gabbard, Cheryl DeConde Johnson, Robert DiSogra, Brian Taylor, Paul Pessis, and Debra Abel.

Forums exploring everyday practice issues will feature panel discussions on ethics, balancing family and practice, women and leadership, pediatrics, and the future of audiology.
