NFLPA and EarQ members Building on an ongoing partnership, the NFL Players Association’s Professional Athletes Foundation (NFLPA PAF) and EarQ have advanced their research program concerning the link between hearing loss and professional football players at their 2016 annual conference in Maui, Hawaii.

From March 20-23, EarQ, along with EarQ providers delivered hearing screenings and customized hearing device fittings to participating NFLPA members, who are ?former pro players. With the data collected through this program, EarQ and the NFLPA can more accurately identify hearing health concerns within the former football player population while also working toward reducing the occurrence of hearing loss in current players.

“We are thrilled about our continued partnership with the NFLPA and our ability to be at the forefront of hearing healthcare education and awareness,” said Clifford Carey, vice president of communications for EarQ. “This research program gives us the unique opportunity to dig deeper into the hearing health of many former players and educate them on the appropriate solutions for an improved quality of life.”

A nationwide network of independent hearing healthcare providers, EarQ utilizes innovative business and marketing practices as well as national public awareness efforts to advocate for excellence in the industry and patient care. Through its 1,400 hearing healthcare provider locations nationwide, EarQ helps to provide greater access to quality hearing healthcare services and products.
