At AudiologyNOW! 2016, Oticon President Peer Lauritsen presented a $25,000 donation to the American Academy of Audiology Foundation’s (AAAF) Empowering People scholarship fund to Therese Walden, AuD, Chair, Foundation Board of Trustees.
This is the fifth year that Oticon Inc has provided funding that will enable AAAF to award five $5,000 scholarships to graduate students earning AuD or PhD degrees in audiology who show exceptional promise as clinical audiologists.
“Our aim is to provide the support needed today to ensure a future of skilled and caring hearing care professionals who share Oticon’s commitment to put the needs of people with hearing loss first,” said Lauritsen. “We are proud to again partner with the American Academy of Audiology Foundation to empower people who are the future of the profession.”
