At the 2012 LeadingAge conference, Hamilton CapTel is demonstrating the CapTel 840i Captioned Telephone in LeadingAge’s 3,000-sq-ft “Idea House.”

“Hamilton CapTel is very excited to participate in the LeadingAge Expo,” said Dixie Ziegler, vice president of Hamilton CapTel. “The LeadingAge commitment to providing technology solutions and person-centered practices that support the well-being of seniors and individuals with specific needs aligns perfectly with Hamilton’s goal of enhancing the lives of individuals with hearing loss.”

The LeadingAge “Idea House” is a 3,000-sq-ft cottage style display home that will showcase the CapTel 840i along with an array of design and technology applications favored by seniors and health care providers.

The CapTel 840i allows individuals with hearing loss to listen to conversations and see word-for-word captions of what is said to them during a phone conversation. The phone features a bright display screen with large fonts for easy reading.

“The LeadingAge conference is about connecting aging citizens with solutions that allow them to maintain their independence,” said Ziegler. “We are proud to be part of that endeavor and we believe this is the perfect venue to highlight Hamilton’s Senior Living Program.”
