The Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA), Lexington, Ky, invites you to attend its 34th Annual Convention–Ideas So BIG Only Texas Can Hold ‘Em–to be held from November 4 to 6 at the Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio, Tex.

The ADA 2010 Convention is designed for audiologists involved or interested in autonomous practice (regardless of practice setting), and will feature sessions that offer insightful and practical business knowledge and clinical education with an strong focus on providing business tools you can implement immediately, hands-on training, and skills to enhance your patient care, says ADA.

The opening session will feature keynote speaker Frank Bucaro and his presentation titled Good Company: Be the Organization that People Want to Work For, Partner With, Invest In and Buy From, which focuses on the five pillars of business development: reputation, trust and loyalty, accountable leadership, having a moral compass, and stewardship.

“ADA is committed to providing audiologists with the best business and clinical education available,” said ADA Convention Chair, Bruce Vircks, AuD, “and Frank’s presentation will set the tone for what promises to be a convention full of innovative ideas and best practices that audiologists will be able to implement in their practices immediately.”

As the author of numerous articles and the book Trust Me! Insights into Ethical Leadership, Bucaro has developed unique and humorous insights into the challenges of being ethical. A member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), he has earned the designation of CSP, which stands for certified speaking professional. This award has been earned by less than 20% of the 3,800 members of NSA. Bucaro was also presented with NSA’s CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame Award for excellence and professionalism, an award given to less than 200 people worldwide. Bucaro has spoken to numerous business organizations on business and ethics including the American College of Dentists, Beltone, Eastern Michigan University College of Business, Oklahoma State University Spears School of business, Oticon, RE/MAX International, and the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center.
