Widex, Lynge, Denmark, launches the updated Widex Zen Therapy (WZT), an integrated program utilizing Widex patented ZEN technology, the company announced.

For years, Widex has helped people with tinnitus via the ZEN program, which is available in most Widex hearing aids. The Widex Zen Therapy, reportedly a proven1 and useful tinnitus relief program, now showcases the new Widex ZEN–Tinnitus Management App! According to Widex, this app includes a wide range of relaxing and soothing sounds including relaxation and sleep exercises that clinicians can include as supplement to their WZT treatment plan.

Research from the American Tinnitus Association shows over 50 million Americans experience some form of tinnitus. Roughly 90% of tinnitus cases occur with an underlying hearing loss, and 16 million people seek medical attention, according to the Hearing Health Foundation. The WZT program is a tool for clinicians to tap into the 16 million Americans seeking help.

“With new advancements in Widex Zen Therapy, clinicians can help provide tinnitus relief and make a difference in more lives,” says Michael Tease, VP of marketing. “By adding tinnitus treatment as part of their service offering, WZT can help grow their patient base and practice.”

In combination with Widex products, such as BEYOND made-for-iPhone technology, Widex Zen Therapy can help people suffering from tinnitus achieve relief.
