Google announced the release of two new features for Android phones, Live Transcribe and Sound Amplifier, as reported by The Verge.

Both new additions are designed as “accessibility features” for people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, according to the article. Live Transcribe is an app that can help transcribe speech in “near-real time,” and Sound Amplifier allows a user to adjust sound settings to potentially improve hearing, what The Verge calls “like a hearing aid app for your phone.”

The features will be preinstalled on Pixel 3 phones and available on the Google Play Store, according to the article, though Live Transcribe is a “limited beta,” and Sound Amplifier requires phones running Android 9 Pie.
