GSI has announced the release of new tests that are available on the company’s clinical tympanometer, the TympStar Pro. The update of the TympStar Pro features two new testing options: a Multi-Frequency test and a Patulous Eustachian Tube test.

The Multi-Frequency test helps allow audiologists to quickly identify the resonance frequency of the middle ear system. The test is said to help provide accurate assessments of the pathologies in the middle ear systems. Testing takes about 15 seconds per ear, which is said to be five times faster than its predecessor, according to GSI’s announcement.

Also included in this update is a Patulous Eustachian Tube test. This test features up to four user-customizable test conditions and an adjustable time base. To learn more about the updates that are now available on the TympStar Pro, visit: www.grason-stadler.com
