Clarity, Chattanooga, Tenn, a supplier of hearing loss solutions, introduces the Clarity CE30, a headset that connects people wearing hearing aids with their telephone to help make conversations clearer.

Resting around the neck, the unit features adjustable volume control and allows for hands-free communication. Users plug it into a corded, cordless, or cell phone, which transmits sound directly to the hearing aid, eliminating distracting background noise. The built-in microphone allows users to talk hands-free, as if they were having a normal conversation.

The device features a large volume knob for uder-friendly adjustment by people struggling with low vision or limited dexterity. It is compatible with standard headset ports (2.5mm and 3.5mm connectors are included), operates using two AA batteries (included), and comes with a 1-year warranty.

The Consumer Electronics Association has bestowed its Innovations Design and Engineering Award on the device, which will also be recognized in January at the association’s International CES show in Las Vegas.
