Eden Prairie, Minn — ExSilent has reportedly introduced the first hearing aid with AirTAP functionality, the Qleaf Pro, a CIC hearing aid designed to make it easier for users to switch discreetly between listening programs.

The Qleaf Pro comes with four different custom-made listening programs. Users can, for example, adjust the device for going to the theater, watching television, and going to parties, and conversations in noisy areas like restaurants or cars.

With its AirTAP functionality, users can switch easily between these listening programs by gently tapping on the ear, rendering the need for a button or switch on the device obsolete.

The Qleaf line of hearing aids is a CIC hearing aid that is placed deeply into the ear, eliminating the risk of internal feedback and wind noise and allowing fashionably aware clients to feel more comfortable with their hearing solution. Its modular concept also eliminates the need for ear impressions. It will be available as of the beginning of February 2011.
