Staefa, Switzerland — Phonak hearing aids Ambra microM, Ambra P, Ambra SP, as well as the PilotOne remote control and the Phonak TV Link Wireless hearing system, have been awarded with the GOOD DESIGN Award 2010.

The GOOD DESIGN Award is an annual award that is judged by a jury of architects and curators from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The judges selected 500 product designs and graphics from over 36 countries out of a record number of submitted nominees.

According to the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, the awarded Phonak products “revived awareness about contemporary design [and] have chartered new directions and pushed the envelope for competitive products in the world marketplace.”

This is the second design award for the Phonak Ambra line. The Ambra microM was also recognized with the iF product design award in 2010.

The GOOD DESIGN award not only recognize Phonak’s products, but of course, their designers, as well:
