The American Hearing Aid Associates (AHAA), Chadds Ford, Pa, has announced that more than 300 associates, vendors, and guests attended the 20th Anniversary AHAA Convention in February 2015 in Orlando, Fla. The underlying theme of the convention, according to AHAA, was “Transformation,” and the program addressed solutions to challenges faced by every working function in a practice from owners/managers to front office personnel.

AHAA Convention keynote speaker was Libby Gill, business coach and consultant, who challenged associates to build upon their strengths and what makes each practice unique. Other main speakers included AHAA’s CEO Vince Russomagno, President Tina Soika, and noted author and blogger Geoffrey James.

AHAA reports that six audiologists and practice owners from the thousands of associates nationwide were recognized with awards for their dedication and success. Pat D. Biondi, AuD, owner of Audiology & Hearing Aid Solutions in New Jersey, received AHAA’s highest recognition, the President’s Award. AHAA President, Tina Soika said of Biondi, “He is always looking at where the practice can be tomorrow.”

Other award winners included Terri Ellert, BC-HIS, and Ric Felder, owners of The Hearing Centers of Arizona, who won the Growth Award; Kristin Davis, AuD, F-AAA, owner of Davis Audiology, who won the Leadership Award; Suzette Pace, AuD, owner of Cortland Hearing Aids, who won the All the Right Things Award; and Elizabeth Patterson, AuD, owner of REM Audiology Associates, who won the Organizational Development Award.
