The British and Irish Hearing Instrument Manufacturers Association (BIHIMA) has announced a date change for its conference in 2020. The new date is May 14-15, 2020.

Due to factors related to changes in the cricket season calendar that were outside of BIHIMA’s control, the date has been brought forward, but the venue, Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham, remains the same.

In its announcement, BIHIMA apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause to delegates and hopes to welcome many representatives from the hearing industry for an event that will “challenge the delegates on the thought-provoking theme of ‘Disrupt, Innovate, Change.’”

The speaker program and workshop series will “demonstrate how ‘disruption’ is a force to be welcomed, bringing challenge and generating innovation and positive change—from disruptive technology which leads to new products, to disruptive solutions for running a retail practice, to disruptive factors—such as new consumer trends—which change the entire audiology landscape.”

The conference will also feature a “state-of-the-art technology exhibition” hosted by the BIHIMA members, offering delegates the opportunity to get up close to the latest in hearing tech. There will also be a program of evening entertainment with plenty of networking opportunities, and BSHAA will be holding its annual general meeting at the event.

Tickets will be available on a first-come-first-served basis and will be limited in number, available at: www.bihima.com. Sign up to BIHIMA’s database here to be alerted when tickets go on sale.

“We are looking forward immensely to welcoming the industry back for our 2020 conference. I hope everyone is ready to be challenged and stimulated, and to use this event as an opportunity to build much-needed collaboration across the sector,” said the BIHIMA Chairman Paul Surridge.
