Los Angeles — On May 4 in New York and May 12 in Los Angeles, the House Ear Institute will present "Sound Rules! A Sound & Hearing Celebration," a free live event to help educate teens about music and preserving their hearing.

Both events will feature Paul Stanley of the iconic 70s rock band, KISS, as well as other musical guests, competitive contests, and prizes.

In addition, hearing experts from the House Ear Institute will show attendees how to get the most out of their music and their ears.

“It’s going to be educational, it’s going to be fun, and it’s going to be full of surprises,” stated the press release.

The New York event will be held on May 4, 2011, at 3:30 PM Eastern at the Directors Guild of America Theatre, located at 110 West 57th Street.

The Los Angeles event will take place on May 12, 2011 at 3:30 PM Pacific at the Los Angeles Directors Guild of America Theatre, located at 7920 Sunset Boulevard.
