A  new collaboration between the Ida Institute and FindHearing.com will allow people with hearing loss across the US and Canada to find hearing care professionals and clinics that carry the “Inspired by Ida” label, a benchmark of quality that signals dedication to person-centered care, according to the Ida Institute’s announcement. Members of the Inspired by Ida program can be featured in the newly launched FindHearing.com searchable online directory of independent clinics that allows consumers to find professional care in their area.

“We are excited to announce the new collaboration with FindHearing.com,” said Ida Managing Director Lise Lotte Bundesen. “This creates a unique opportunity for Inspired by Ida members to differentiate their brand and communicate their dedication to person-centered care to patients. In the coming months, we will work with the team from Hearing Health and Technology Matters (HHTM), the group behind FindHearing.com, to actively promote the new resource to clinics in the US and Canada, and to the general public.”

For more than 10 years, the Ida Institute has worked with hearing care professionals worldwide to enhance the quality of hearing care, developing a comprehensive portfolio of counseling tools and resources for professionals and patients. At the core is a focus on a person-centered approach that allows people to better articulate their needs and play a more active role in their own care. This leads to better outcomes and helps people manage their hearing loss more effectively—which ultimately results in a higher degree of patient satisfaction.

“I have admired the work being done by the team at the Ida Institute for a number of years,” said Kevin Liebe, AuD, President and CEO of HHTM Group. “FindHearing.com was created with the mission to inform, educate, and empower consumers about the importance of hearing healthcare. Through this collaboration with the Ida Institute, we can now provide independent hearing clinics a new way to showcase their commitment to person-centered care.”

A listing in the new FindHearing.com directory is available to independent and non-profit hearing clinics across the US and Canada. Registration in the listing is free. Professionals can register their clinic at: https://findhearing.com/professionals/

Hearing care professionals interested in the Inspired by Ida program can register for an Ida Institute membership and go the Ida Learning Hall to complete two required online courses: “Getting Started with Person-Centered Care” and “Client Engagement and Ida Motivation Tools.” Upon completion of the courses, practitioners are given the option to claim their personal online verification badge, which they can share through their social media channels, website, and emails, and in their FindHearing.com clinic profile. There is a one-time administration fee of $30 USD to participate in the Inspired program after the courses are completed.
