VARTA Microbattery GmbH, headquartered in Ellwangen, Germany, has announced that its power one brand will be showcasing the company’s Zinc Air Mercury-Free hearing aid batteries and its power one app at the UNSAF Congress 2015 in Paris, France, from April 10–12, 2015. According to VARTA, the company has used its 125 years of experience to create what it believes are its best power one hearing aid batteries. The Hearing Review previously covered the launch of power one’s new products in an October 2014 article.

In compliance with the new European legal requirements, power one offers mercury-free cells, along with good quality and reliability in its premium power batteries. The company reports that these cells were developed for the new IEC wireless standard as well.

The company says its power one app was developed for acousticians and hearing aid users. Audiologists can register as a power one acoustician to help hearing aid users from all over the world locate their nearest source for power one hearing aid batteries. According to VARTA, the power one app contains a map that provides directions to the nearest power one audiologist, and it has a useful reminder function for taking medication. The app is also capable of logging battery changes, and can remind the user when it is time to buy new batteries.

The power one app can be downloaded from the App Store, Google play, and the Windows Store. It is available in German, English, and French versions. More information about the Zinc Air Mercury-Free batteries and power one app will be available at the UNSAF Congress in France, at the power one booth H4.
