TruHearing Names Tommy Macdonald New CEO Tommy Macdonald_headshot

TruHearing, West Jordan, Utah, which provides discount programs on digital hearing aids and services to members of select health plans, has named Tommy Macdonald CEO.

Before joining TruHearing, Macdonald held positions at Bain & Company and most recently at Sorenson Capital, the private equity fund that acquired a minority interest in TruHearing in late 2012. Macdonald holds a BA from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Macdonald has been president of TruHearing since February.

Neuromonics Inc, Westminster, Colo, manufacturer and distributor of tinnitus treatment devices, has named Eula Adams its new CEO.

With nearly 40 years of experience in the financial accounting, financial services, and technology industries, Adams has most recently served as president of Denver-based Xcore Corporation. Previously he was senior vice president of storage sales and services for Sun Microsystems, and president and senior vice president of First Data Corporation, working in Denver.

Adams holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Morris Brown College in Atlanta and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University. He also is a licensed certified public accountant in the state of Colorado.

Ex-Packer Blaise Winter Honored by HearStrong Foundation Blaise Packers_copy

The Green Bay Packers football team and HearStrong Foundation, Syracuse, NY, recently honored former Green Bay Packer Blaise Winter as a HearStrong Champion.

Winter first experienced hearing loss as a child, possibly the result of several tumors in his ears when he was born. Although he didn’t utilize hearing devices until he began his professional football career in 1984, Winter developed an extremely positive attitude toward them and had the determination to overcome his challenges and succeed.

The ceremony was held at the Lambeau Field Atrium in Green Bay, Wis.

Jaspreet Bahra Named European Audiologist of the Year

British audiologist Jaspreet Bahra, BSc (Hons) Audiology RHAD, has been named European Audiologist of the Year. Bahra, who works at Harley Street Hearing in London, earned the top honor thanks to a nomination from one of her patients.

Now in its 6th year, the competition, run in partnership between Rayovac and the magazine Audio Infos, celebrates the exceptional work of audiologists across Europe.
