Daniel Liberman (pictured above) has joined hearing aid and hearing health services company WS Audiology as President for the US region and member of Group Management.

Liberman will lead the strategic coordination of the Group’s unique US portfolio of multiple brands and complementary business assets including wholesale, retail, managed care, e-commerce platforms and innovative diagnostic solutions. As such, Widex USA President Søren Hvidberg Nielsen (no relation to Demant CEO Søren Nielsen) and Sivantos CEO Eric Timm will report to Liberman.

Liberman joins WS Audiology from a position as Chief Commercial Officer at Essilor of America, a $2 billion division selling eyeglass lenses, frames, and contact lenses, as well as managing and providing retail and omnichannel solutions. Before Essilor, he worked for Samsung Mobile and RadioShack as a senior executive in various roles including leading nationwide retail sales and wholesale organizations.

After his undergraduate work in the engineering school at Stanford University, Liberman attended the University of Bath for his MSc, and received a law degree from the University of Michigan. He was also a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School.

“The US is the largest hearing aids market in the world and the single most important market for WS Audiology,” said Group President and CEO Eric Bernard in a press statement. “I am delighted to welcome such a strong profile as Daniel in this key position for us. He brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the US wholesale and retail markets. We are positive he will add significant value to the company.”
