The Hearing Industries Association (HIA), Washington, is partnering with the Michigan AG Bell, HLAA, and IHS chapters to host a dinner event for Sen Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich) in East Lansing on Friday, September 3, to garner support for the Hearing Aid Tax Credit.

The Michigan chapters have hosted successful events for Reps Dave Camp (Midland) and Vern Ehlers (Grand Rapids), and local volunteers are again working to develop a great program, notes HIA.

Similar Congressional events in California, Maryland, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin have been effective in demonstrating the importance of the Hearing Aid Tax Credit to local voters, and a large turnout is a key element of each program.

The recent event in Sugar Land, Texas, for Rep Pete Olson (R-Texas) attracted 120 people, and the Congressman is eager to champion HR 1646 when he returns to Washington.

HIA urges you to contact your audiologist/dispenser customers or any employees in Michigan to encourage them to attend and to invite their patients/clients to attend also.

Here’s is a link to the invitation, and HIA can provide as many printed invites as needed for distribution in professional offices and in other places.
