Listen Technologies, a provider of assistive listening systems for 21 years, has partnered with Studiotec Oy to distribute Listen Technologies assistive listening products throughout Finland. Studiotec Oy is an importer and integrator of audio, video, and lighting equipment in Finland and will help grow Listen Technologies’ brand in the country.
It is estimated that approximately 15% of the Finnish population has hearing impairment. An aging population, coupled with longer life expectancy and earlier onset of hearing loss due to increased noise exposure, means the percentage of Finns with hearing loss is likely to grow. The effects of hearing loss are costly financially and socially in terms of the isolation and loss of engagement that individuals with hearing loss may experience.
Assistive listening technology enables people to hear clearly, whether they are in a house of worship, classroom, hotel lobby, crowded restaurant, or other challenging listening environment. Listen Technologies’ products deliver audio directly to individuals so they are able to fully engage with others and experience pure sound.
“Listen Technologies is excited to welcome Studiotec Oy to our network of distributors,” said Russ Gentner, CEO of Listen Technologies. “Studiotec Oy is an established manufacturer’s representative firm with more than 30 years of experience and a record of high-profile installations, including the Finnish Parliament and the National Opera. We are confident in their ability to represent Listen Technologies and support our customers throughout Finland.”
“Studiotec Oy is very happy and proud to become the distributor of Listen Technologies products in Finland and we look forward to a fruitful partnership with Listen,” said Richard Lönnberg, manager, Studiotec Oy.
