The Zon hearing aid from Starkey Laboratories Inc, Eden Prairie, Minn, has won the 2008 People’s Design Award presented by the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum.
Zon, the best-in-class receiver-in-canal line of products introduced this year, was among hundreds of nominations for which thousands of votes were cast on Cooper-Hewitt’s Web site. The field of competitors included Adidas, Blackberry, Converse, and the Beijing National Stadium.
