Unitron, an advanced hearing solutions company based in Kitchener, Canada, has announced the appointment of hearing healthcare industry leader Jake Haycock to general manager of Unitron Canada, and the appointment of Rob Walesa to head of global customer experience.

According to the announcement, Haycock brings to Unitron Canada more than 10 years of industry experience, coupled with a strong track record in sales and leadership roles. Most recently, Haycock was vice president of sales and marketing for Oticon Canada with direct responsibility for Canadian sales performance. Prior to Oticon, Haycock held senior leadership positions as the president of Widex US, and president and CEO of Widex Canada.

Rob Walesa is a 20-year veteran of the Unitron organization, according to the company, most recently serving as the general manager of Unitron Canada, where he provided leadership in growing Unitron’s brand and market share. He is credited with establishing Unitron as a leader in the Canadian hearing healthcare marketplace. Prior to the general manager role, Walesa held successive senior roles within the Unitron organization, overseeing the company’s product management organization and product roadmap, and expanding Unitron’s presence in the United States, Asia, and the Southern Hemisphere.
