Dave Matthews guitar

Guitar from Dave Matthews with his drawing and signature, donated by Sensaphonics

Sensaphonics, a Chicago-based company specializing in safe sound and hearing wellness, has donated a one-of-a-kind, signed guitar from Dave Matthews to the Auction 4 Audiology fundraising auction benefitting the American Academy of Audiology Foundation (AAAF). The auction is hosted by biddingowl.com and is live now through Friday, April 15.

The guitar, a solid-body Ibanez, has been graced with original artwork by Sensaphonics user and music superstar Dave Matthews. The AAAF Auction 4 Audiology, now in its fifth year online, is being conducted in conjunction with the annual AudiologyNOW! 2016 Conference, April 13-16, and is open to the public.

Proceeds from sale of the guitar will go toward supporting research, education and public awareness in audiology and hearing science, including music-specific hearing research. “Hearing wellness through evidence-based science is our mission at Sensaphonics, and we’re happy to work with the Foundation to fund much-needed research,” says Michael Santucci, AuD, president of Sensaphonics. “We’d also like to thank Dave Matthews, who went above and beyond the requested autograph by adorning the guitar with his original artwork. It is, literally, a pricelessly unique item, and it benefits a great cause.”

Auction 4 Audiology is operated by the American Academy of Audiology Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its mission is the promotion of philanthropy in support of research, education, and public awareness in audiology and hearing science. All donation are tax deductible.

Bidding for the Auction 4 Audiology is open now through Friday, April 15 at 8:30 pm EDT. To view the Dave Matthews signed guitar and submit a bid, please visit the Auction 4 Audiology website.
