ReVolt Technology (www.revolttechnology.com) and Phonak AG (www.phonak.com) to Develop Rechargeable Zinc-air Battery Technology for Hearing Aids

Cooperation will contribute to environmental cause and improve lives of the hearing impaired

ReVolt Technology and Phonak AG have signed a collaboration agreement to design and develop a new generation of rechargeable Zinc-air batteries for hearing aids. The scope of the agreement will include development and supply of prototype batteries based on ReVolt’s revolutionary rechargeable Zinc-air battery technology.

The rechargeable batteries are designed to particularly benefit older users, who will not have to perform weekly battery replacement. Initially ReVolt will develop one type of battery at their research and development center in Staefa, Switzerland, with other design slated for later development. Further more Phonak and ReVolt agreed to collaborate on design and development of batteries for next generation of innovative hearing aids.
