Sonic Innovations Inc, Salt Lake City, celebrated a milestone October 31 as Sheryl Figliano, AuD, from the Center for Hearing Care in Boardman, Ohio, and Dora Cercone, her patient, were recognized as the prescriber and purchaser of Sonic’s one-millionth hearing instrument.
“This is a very exciting milestone for the company to reach,” says Sam Westover, the company’s chairman and CEO. “During the last decade, Sonic Innovations has developed superior sound solutions and provided hearing care professionals the products they need to help their patients achieve their specific hearing goals. The company has continually introduced new products that have revolutionized the industry, and we are pleased to recognize this moment with Dr Figliano and her patient.”
The company notes other milestones it has achieved in the past 10 years, such as developing a nine-channel digital signal processor, and developing new sound-compression technology that is considered unique in the industry.
