Three hundred hearing care professionals attended the 2013 Beltone Owner Leadership Development (BOLD) Conference at the Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson, Ariz, in April 2013.

The BOLD conference is an annual event for business owners who are a part of Beltone’s dispenser network. During the meeting, Beltone’s president, Todd Murray, congratulated all of the company’s network members for their achievements and presented performance awards to top practitioners throughout the United States and Canada.

The 2013 President’s Cup, which honors dedicated individuals who consistently provide a high level of patient hearing care within their communities, was awarded to Kevin Royer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

“This award recognizes those practitioners whose professionalism and care go well beyond their office and into the community,” said Murray. “Royer’s leadership and dedication is the ultimate example of this and he continues to find unique ways to give back to his community.”

Beltone presented other top performance awards, including the first-ever Circle of Excellence Award to Daniel and Jean Fletcher of Southgate, Mich; Jackie Miller of Chattanooga, Tenn; Dr Rebecca Wood and Gayla Scott of Peoria, Ill; John Lynch of Greensboro, NC; and 2013 President’s Cup winner Kevin Royer who also received the first-time award, which was created to recognize those who exhibit excellence in all aspects of hearing care.

According to Murray, the Circle of Excellence program identifies the “best of the best” based on a series of best practice criteria developed specifically for members of the Beltone network.

Beltone’s BOLD Conference also featured the latest on Beltone’s technology innovation, leadership skills, and a variety of working educational sessions focused on key best practices.
