Clarity®, a division of Plantronics Inc, Chattanooga, Tenn, has released the Clarity P400™ amplified corded telephone. In addition to Clarity®Power™—which makes phone conversations not only louder, but also clearer—the P400 telephone’s PicturePerfect Dialing™ feature allows a pre-programmed number to be dialed with a single touch to an inset photo of a family member, doctor, or friend.

“As America ages, it is faced with myriad issues impacting quality of life,” says Matt Hutchinson, director of marketing for Clarity. “While our main focus has always been on providing solutions to the millions of Americans who experience a hearing loss, there are many people faced with conditions that may affect their ability to remain close to friends and family. With the Clarity P400 telephone, we have an opportunity to positively impact the lives of those who face hearing loss, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other limiting conditions.”

The Clarity P400 also features an extra loud ring indicator, large buttons, and amplification up to 26 dB. The P400 telephone is ideal for those who experience a mild to moderate hearing loss or other factors that may limit a person’s ability to comfortably use a telephone, the company says.
