After 36 years as an employee for Oticon A/S, Janne Maillet retired April 1.

In her role as assistant to Henning Mønsted, Director of Sales and Marketing, Janne managed and planned all group visits to Oticon headquarters in Denmark. Maillet organized and oversaw travels and tours involving hundreds of visitors.

An Oticon news release characterized Maillet as “warm and friendly” and said her “willingness to handle even the smallest requests made her a popular hostess for hearing care professionals from the U.S. and other sister companies who visited the Oticon headquarters, factory and Eriksholm Research Centre.”

“[Maillet] earned the affection of visitors and the respect and admiration of her fellow employees,” the release said.

Following Mønsted’s retirement, Maillet continued her work, most recently arranging an influx of international visitors for the celebrations of Oticon’s 100th Anniversary and the opening of the new headquarters at Kongebakken.

“She was the perfect hostess, warm and welcoming and a true embodiment of our People First philosophy,” said Peer Lauritsen, President, Oticon, Inc. “Janne is a consummate professional who even in the busiest times, always remembered employees with birthday flowers! She is a valued and much loved employee and we wish her well in her future endeavors.”

In retirement Maillet plans to play bridge, garden and golf with her husband, Ole
