Minneapolis — GNReSound has launched a new YouTube video contest, giving audiologists the chance to win a trip to either Madrid, Spain or to Nassau, Bahamas.

Audiologists are invited to record and submit a short two minute video of themselves or one of their patients talking about their experiences with ReSound’s newly released wireless hearing aid, Alera.

The Alera is a wireless hearing aid that does not require the user to wear an intermediary device around their neck.

Kevin Mensink, vice president of marketing, ReSound, commented in the press release, “We know our customers are excited about ReSound Alera. That’s why we’ve developed a new contest to share success stories of patients and hearing aid professionals who love talking about the product.”

The video that receives the most views on the ReSound YouTube Channel will win a trip for two to Madrid, Spain, or Nassau, Bahamas. There is no limit to the number of videos that an entrant can post. In addition to the most viewed video award, a second prize will be awarded to the customer who is able to post the most videos on the ReSound YouTube Channel.

In addition to the audiologist, the patient who is featured in the video with the highest number of views will win a home theater system with surround sound.

ReSound is also using social media to keep customers informed and engaged with a Facebook community (www.facebook.com/gnresound), where audiologists and end-users can connect and share experiences.
