Sonus
Pete Fox has joined Sonus, a division of Amplifon USA, Plymouth, Minn, as regional network manager for the Great Lakes Region (Ohio, Kentucky, and Michigan). Prior to joining the Sonus Network, Fox was a regional sales representative for two prominant hearing aid companies in the industry. Additionally, Fox’s experience in the hearing industry includes 10 years of private practice as an audiologist in Sandusky, Ohio.




Unitron Hearing US
Unitron Hearing, US, Plymouth, Minn, announces the addition of new professionals to its team. Roxanne Johnson has joined Unitron Hearing in the role of customer service manager. She comes with 12 years of professional experience in the customer care arena, 10 of which have been in the hearing industry. To further assist customers with audiological support, Unitron Hearing has added three audiologists to its Professional Services Department: Alan Sias, MA, has been in the hearing healthcare field since 1995, working in hospital and clinical settings, owning his own practice, and working with schools; Donna Haider, AuD, comes to Unitron Hearing with 12 years experience in clinical audiology and 10 years in manufacturing; and Lisa Berkeley, MA, joins Unitron Hearing with 2 years dispensing experience. Sias, Haider, and Berkeley will assist customers with audiological support, as well as lead product training seminars.


 Clarity
Michael Freibrun has joined Clarity, Chattanooga, Tenn, a division of Plantronics Inc, Santa Cruz, Calif, as national sales manager. Freibrun will handle all retail accounts nationwide. In addition to building relationships and developing enhanced sales opportunities with existing channel partners, he will also help identify unexplored sales opportunities, focusing mainly on health care in national retail outlets.


 Siemens Hearing Instruments
Siemens Hearing Instruments, Piscataway, NJ, has appointed Mike Jolley to the newly created position of vice president of manufacturing and operations. In this position, Jolley is responsible for all manufacturing and operations activities throughout Siemens Hearing Instruments in the United States. Jolley comes to Siemens with more than 20 years of experience.

 Siemens Hearing Instruments also announced that Petra Felki has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president of human resources. Felki is responsible for establishing human resources strategies, policies, and practices that will continue to enable Siemens to attract, develop, and retain talented employees. Felki was previously the human resources manager for Siemens Medical Solutions in Malvern, Pa.


AHAA
American Hearing Aid Associates (AHAA) has named Gary Buckland as senior vice president of sales and marketing. He has worked for over 20 years in top management, sales, business development, and operations. Most recently, he was president of LegaLink Corp, Boston, one of the largest legal services firm. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Va.

In addition, Peter Marzolf has joined AHAA as vice president of training and development. He has 15 years of business experience, most recently with PPG Industries, Pittsburgh, as manager of continuing education for three major divisions. At AHAA he will direct internal and external training, and develop programs for AHAA’s nationwide network of hearing health care professionals and its sales force. He is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, with a bachelor’s in business administration.


 Unitron Hearing Canada
Unitron Hearing Canada, Ontario, Canada, welcomes Nicolai Krarup as its new general manager. Krarup will be responsible for Unitron Hearing’s brand, presence, and sales activities for the Canadian market.

Krarup brings management experience in the hearing health care industry and strong skills in product development, marketing, and sales management. Prior to joining Unitron Hearing, Krarup was president of Bukkehave Group, an automotive solutions company. From 1997-2002, he was group commercial director of a major European hearing instrument manufacturer where he had extensive experience in managing new product introductions, sales efforts, and customer support. In addition to working internationally in Denmark, Switzerland, the United States, and Japan, Krarup speaks six languages.
