GN Otometrics has announced its second VNG/ENG course this year facilitated by balance expert Kamran Barin, PhD.  The course will be held in Chicago on October 3-5, 2012, at the Allerton Hotel.

The first 2 days of the course will focus on a comprehensive guide to VNG/ENG administration and interpretation.  The third day will feature demonstration and hands-on VNG/ENG testing.  The course is offered for up to 1.9 AAA/ASHA CEUs (intermediate level, professional area.)

Dr Barin, assistant professor emeritus in the department of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and department of speech and hearing science, at Ohio State University, has served as an educational speaker on balance disorders, in conjunction with GN Otometrics, for 11 years.  In that time, he has instructed more than 1,800 audiologists, physicians, physical therapists, and technicians who perform and interpret balance disorder testing.

"As an industry leader, GN Otometrics has always been deeply committed to providing continuing education opportunities for balance professionals," said Barin in a press statement.  "I am proud of the work we’ve done together and the positive impact we’ve had on our community."

The course is intended for audiologists, technicians, physicians, and other health care professionals who perform and interpret VNG/ENG tests.  It is designed to provide practical information necessary to make the VNG/ENG test an effective component in the diagnostic process.  The cost for the course is $700 for Days 1 and 2; $300 for Day 3.  For more information about the VNG/ENG course, and accommodations in Chicago, go to www.otometrics.com/knowledge.

"We are honored to have a strong working relationship with such a distinguished balance testing expert as Dr. Barin," said Uffe Bjerg, vice president, GN Otometrics North America.  "Together, we are dedicated to providing balance professionals with the best, most up-to-date learning opportunities."
