The annual recognition program honored 47 women in 2018 for their professional achievements, leadership, and contributions to the broader Twin Cities’ community. The honorees will be featured in the May 18, 2018 edition of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

Lody joined GN Hearing in 2011 as president of the company’s ReSound hearing aid business in North America, assembling and leading a team that was said to double US ReSound sales within a five-year period. In 2016, Lody was named to her current role, overseeing all GN Hearing North America businesses with a goal to become the leading hearing aid provider in the country.

“I am truly honored to share this recognition with other women making a difference within Minnesota’s business landscape,” Lody said. “It’s personally gratifying to work with people and for a company dedicated to continually improving the ways we address hearing loss, which is a major health issue throughout the world. We are unrelenting in our commitment to working with hearing care professionals to advance technology and services that will improve people’s lives.”

In addition to continued growth within the ReSound business, her teams boosted Beltone hearing aid sales, acquired the practice management company Audigy, and, most recently, announced the creation of Advanced Hearing Protection, which will serve defense and security forces. GN Hearing is now said rank No. 3 in US hearing aid sales, up from No. 6 in 2011, making it the leading hearing aid company, by market share, with a presence in Minnesota, according to the company.

An awards luncheon and expo recognizing the honorees will be held on May 19, 2018 at The Armory in Minneapolis.
