San Francisco — Sycle.net’s practice management system is now Hearing Instrument Manufacturers’ Software Association (HIMSA) certified. The certification means that the company’s software has met all compatibility and performance requirements under Noah standards.

HIMSA has developed a test procedure to check whether Noah plus fitting and measurement modules can run together with an office management system. (OMS). The test consists of a conformance test and integration test.

The conformance test ensures that the database interface between the OMS and Noah is compliant with the HIMSA Test Specifications and that the OMS hosts the Noah modules correctly. The integration test ensures that all the certified fitting and measurement modules can install and operate under Noah software implemented in the OMS.

Sycle.net launched the beta version of its Noah interface in 2010.

Peter Adams, Sycle.net’s marketing director, said in a press statement, “It is great to have HIMSA recognize the hard work of our development team with this stamp of approval. We are so excited about the Sycle Noah Sync functionality and all the benefits it will bring to the thousands of hearing care professionals that use Sycle.net every day.”

Noah is a hearing industry standard for integrated hearing care software. The Hearing Instrument Manufacturers’ Software Association (HIMSA) was founded at the beginning of 1993 with the objective of developing, marketing, and supporting Noah.
